HAMSA (2018)

I have a great interest in the philosophy and culture of india. Hamsa is the sanskrit word for Swan, and in both indian mythology and in the Vedas, the Swan is a symbol of supreme knowledge because it can separate milk from water (good from bad or truth from illusion).

This work is about embracing this supreme knowledge that lives inside each of us. I will quote Aldous Huxley from his book “The Divine Within”: “Nothing we can do will actually produce enlightenment. All we can do is to get out of our own light, use our will to will ourselves away…And most of our lives, of course, are spent in eclipsing this light with all possible means at our disposal”.
