Xingu
When I was a child one of my favorite things to watch on tv was a documentary my Dad had recorded on a VHS tape called “Xingu”. It was about several tribes from Xingu; Their simple way of life, culture and their sort of naiveness fascinated me and surely had a big impact on my childhood and life.
That was back in 1985 and a lot had happened to these tribes since this documentary was recorded. Prejudice, negligence, slaughter and expropriation of their lands is not something new, but sadly is on the rise these days.
