In the east, the swan is a symbol of divine knowledge and purity. It is said that the swan can separate milk from water, which simbolizes its wisdom and discrimination. An enlightened being in the vedanta tradition usually receive the title of Paramahamsa, which means (Para) Supreme and (Hamsa) Swan.
This work is about resisting this pull towards the lower realms of our being; be it from the demands of our Ego's or the World. It is about the battle within, that must be fought everyday.
