We Are Better Together (2020)
I read this quote by Aristotle several years ago: 'Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.' I always found it somewhat overly romanticized, almost as if he was describing the concept of a soulmate using different words.
However, it took me many years to grasp its true meaning—that love itself is a union. Divine love is the cessation of lack; it's fulfillment. Human love carries the same essence when we perceive no separation between ourselves and the loved one. It is, at its core, altruistic and pure, as we love 'others as ourselves.'
This piece explores the feeling of merging with our loved one, being together not only in physical presence but also sharing the same spirit, realizing we are one.
