Love Desires Nothing But itself (2014)
The title of this work is a quote by the Christian mystic William Law (1686). I stumbled upon his work somehow and read all of his books, including his letters. This quote was in “The Spirit of Love". The entire quote was “Divine Love desires nothing but itself; it is its own Good, it has all when it has itself, because nothing is good but itself, and its own working; for Love is God, and he that dwelleth in God, dwelleth in Love”.
Hence Cupid, shooting an arrow on himself. He is the very target for his own arrow.
